PAINTER/DRYWALL
FINISHER/GLAZIER Painters apply coats of paint, varnish, staining, enamel, or lacquer to decorate and protect interior or exterior surfaces, trimmings, and fixtures of buildings and other structures. They may also prepare and cover room interior walls and ceilings with wallpaper, fabrics, vinyls, and other materials. Also, they require additional training in industrial painting (tanks, bridges, etc.). Drywall finishers perform taping, surfacing, and finishing of all drywall surfaces. Glaziers select, cut, install and remove all types of glass, as well as work with plastics, granite, marble and other materials as glass substitutes. |
